FAUG first impressions: looks good but it is no PUBG Mobile

FAUG has been released in India and we played the game for a few hours to offer our initial thoughts.

Indian game developer nCore Games finally released the much-awaited FAUG game for download on Android while the iOS version will come out at a later stage. Set in the backdrop of the infamous Galwan Valley attack and riding on a wave of anti-China sentiments, FAUG was announced as an Indian-made title celebrating the heroics of the Indian army. The name FAUG was being considered as an Indian take on PUBG Mobile after the latter was banned in the country. However, nCore had clarified in an earlier interview that the developer has no intention of making a clone to the popular battle royale game. Now, on 26th January, I finally got my hands on the game, and here are my first impressions of the game mechanics, storyline, and what the future of FAUG looks like.

is a third-person action RPG title with a size of 500MB and I played it on the OnePlus 8 Pro for a good graphical experience. On the main menu for the game, you will see three options which are Campaign, 5V5 Team Deathmatch, and Free for all. Currently, you can only play the Campaign while the other two modes are said to be coming soon. The onset of the story begins with a cinematic segment of stranded Indian soldiers of the FAU-G unit in Galwan Valley after an ambush in the night by unknown assailants (most likely Chinese troops, but it is not mentioned). We play as a soldier most likely from the Sikh regiment whose objective is to make his way towards his team while engaging in hand-to-hand combats with the enemy. The campaign’s tutorial makes us familiar with the game’s mechanics, movement options, and environment interaction. Talking about the settings, there are only options to change your graphics, audio, and sensitivity.

I played the game on the Ultra graphics settings to get take in the full scope of the game’s visual capabilities. From the initial trailer I saw back in December, I was no very impressed with how the game looked. Now with the game in my hand, my opinion has somewhat changed. Textures and detail in the environment are quite good while the frame rate is also set at a healthy 60fps. The virtual joystick for movement and the button for combat are both very responsive. There is no overall jittering in the gameplay when looking around the world. Dialogues can be heard crisply over the combat and weapons can be picked up just by walking over them. One big thing for people to know is that there will be no gun combat of any kind, at least for the amount of campaign I’ve played. The only combat objects that can be picked up appear to be a barbed-wire club and a metal pipe with a knife attached at one end.

Initial launches of games are not free of bugs and I did encounter a few. Sometimes defeated enemy troops stay suspended in the air for 5-6 seconds. Entering a nearby tent while engaged in combat can make the enemy forget that you are even there. Dialogue delivered by the player at regular intervals is tied to each checkpoint in the level. This means if you go back to a previous checkpoint the player will again repeat older dialogues. There is no bloodshed or graphic violence in the game instead the damage to enemy soldiers is shown as points being deducted from their health after each hit. Your own health and stamina are present at the top-left and you can replenish it by sitting next to a fire which is present at nearly all combat locations. The game follows a linear movement with objective markers showing where the player has to go next.

From what I could make out, FAUG is definitely not anything like PUBG and it is clear that it does not want to do that either. The gameplay focuses on hand-to-hand combat with the enemy and there are a couple of glitches here and there. I’m guessing the total time to beat the game would be about 2-3 hours after which the title will hold no meaning. At least until the 5V5 Team Deathmatch and Free for all modes are not introduced, the FAUG campaign will force you on a monotonous journey of battling the same kind of enemy troops. Stay tuned for a full review of the game. You can watch some of the gameplay footage in the link below.

Bird flu cases in Rajasthan are increasing day by day which led authorities to announce a bird flu alert in the state. After the confirmation of virus, authorities are considering this as a very serious matter. The dreaded virus was confirmed in dead crows in the Jhalawar district and many other cities, including Jaipur and many important cities of Rajasthan.

It started on December 25 in Jhalawar. Most of the cases have been reported among crows, with most of them from Kota and Jodhpur. After that, the samples were sent to National Institute of High Security Animal Diseases Bhopal where the virus was detected.

In concern to this, Animal Husbandry Minister Lalchand Kataria called an urgent meeting to make everyone alert of the situation and to take required action as soon as possible. He said that it is very serious matter and we can’t ignore it. That is why an urgent meeting of concerned officials has been called. He ensured that he and his team is monitoring and treating this issue on priority. He also informed that they are in contact with the Forest Department and the administration is on high alert.

Kunjilal Meena, State Principal Secretary, Rajasthan, informed that in order to control the situation, a response team has been formed which will work in various areas and report them the current situation. He added that it is very important to make people aware about it. That is why, pamphlet and posters will be put up to spread awareness among people. He also requested people to understand the situation and help them with their support.

Wisdom Teeth and Dental Pain

A wisdom tooth or third molar is one of the three molars per quadrant of the human dentition. It is the most posterior of the three. The age at which wisdom teeth come through (erupt) is variable, but this generally occurs between late teens and early twenties Most adults have four wisdom teeth, one in each of the four quadrants, but it is possible to have none, fewer, or more, in which case the extras are called supernumerary teeth. Wisdom teeth may get stuck (impacted) against other teeth if there is not enough space for them to come through normally. Impacted wisdom teeth are still sometimes removed for orthodontic treatment, believing that they move the other teeth and cause crowding, though this is not held anymore as true  Impacted wisdom teeth may suffer from tooth decay if oral hygiene becomes more difficult. Wisdom teeth which are partially erupted through the gum may also cause inflammation and infection in the surrounding gum tissues, termed pericoronitis. Some more conservative treatments, such as operculectomies, may be fitting for some cases, yet impacted wisdom teeth are commonly extracted as treatment for these problems, many times before these problems even occur. Some oppose this prophylactic removal of disease-free impacted wisdom teeth, including among them the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence in the UK.

Toothache or dental pain

Toothache, also known as dental pain, is pain in the teeth or their supporting structures, caused by dental diseases or pain referred to the teeth by non-dental diseases. When severe it may impact sleep, eating, and other daily activities.

Common causes include inflammation of the pulp, (usually in response to tooth decay, dental trauma, or other factors), dentin hypersensitivity, apical periodontitis (inflammation of the periodontal ligament and alveolar bone around the root apex), dental abscesses (localized collections of pus), alveolar osteitis ("dry socket", a possible complication of tooth extraction), acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis (a gum infection), and temporomandibular disorder.[4]

Pulpitis is reversible when the pain is mild to moderate and lasts for a short time after a stimulus (for instance cold); or irreversible when the pain is severe, spontaneous, and lasts a long time after a stimulus. Left untreated, pulpitis may become irreversible, then progress to pulp necrosis (death of the pulp) and apical periodontitis. Abscesses usually cause throbbing pain. The apical abscess usually occurs after pulp necrosis, the pericoronal abscess is usually associated with acute pericoronitis of a lower wisdom tooth, and periodontal abscesses usually represent a complication of chronic periodontitis (gum disease). Less commonly, non-dental conditions can cause toothache, such as maxillary sinusitis, which can cause pain in the upper back teeth, or angina pectoris, which can cause pain in the lower teeth. Correct diagnosis can sometimes be challenging.

Proper oral hygiene helps to prevent toothache by preventing dental disease. The treatment of a toothache depends upon the exact cause, and may involve a filling, root canal treatment, extraction, drainage of pus, or other remedial action. The relief of toothache is considered one of the main responsibilities of dentists. Toothache is the most common type of pain in the mouth or face It is one of the most common reasons for emergency dental appointments. In 2013, 223 million cases of tooth pain occurred as a result of dental caries in permanent teeth and 53 million cases occurred in baby teeth. Historically, the demand for treatment of toothache is thought to have led to the emergence of dental surgery as the first specialty of medicine.

Prevention - Since most toothache is the result of plaque-related diseases, such as tooth decay and periodontal disease, the majority of cases could be prevented by avoidance of a cariogenic diet and maintenance of good oral hygiene. That is, reduction in the number times that refined sugars are consumed per day and brushing the teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and interdental cleaning. Regular visits to a dentist also increases the likelihood that problems are detected early and averted before toothache occurs. Dental trauma could also be significantly reduced by routine use of mouthguards in contact sports.
