TCS and BSNL aim to bring 4G connectivity to over 1,000 villages, significantly improving mobile internet services in rural areas.





Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the IT services firm of the Tata Group, has partnered with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to enhance mobile connectivity across India ¹:
- TCS and BSNL aim to bring 4G connectivity to over 1,000 villages, significantly improving mobile internet services in rural areas.
- TCS is setting up data centers across four regions to support the 4G infrastructure.
- BSNL has already installed over 9,000 towers for 4G services and plans to expand to an additional 1 lakh sites by August 2024.
- This collaboration is part of a substantial Rs 15,000-crore agreement, highlighting TCS's commitment to leveraging technology for connectivity and digital inclusion across India.
